MUSICAL AND PERSONAL BACKGROUND

Márton Wirth was born in Hungary in 1984. After finishing the music school as a pianist, he learned at the Conservatory of Pécs as a composer and choir master.

Later on he became a student of two of Europe’s best musical institutions.

At the Academy of Music  in Budapest he was trained as a choir conductor and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien) he learned composing and conducting under the instructions of maestro Uros Lajovic and Axel Seidelmann.

While learning at the universities in Vienna and Budapest, he also took part in various master courses of such great artists as Seiji Ozawa, Peter Schreier and Paul Crabb.

At the beginning of his professional career, Márton became a teacher at the University of Arts in Pécs where he taught orchestral material reading, orchestra and chamber music while accompanying the clarinet students.
